So, you’re new to flipping sneakers. You just got your first win on a sneaker drop. You listed them on eBay or StockX. You got paid! And now… you have to ship them out.Don’t know how? No worries.1. If you’re shipping via StockX or GOAT, place the invoice inside of the shoebox, or include it in an envelope along with the product you are shipping. If it’s eBay, then don’t worry about this.2. Place the sneaker box into a bigger box. DO NOT TAPE A LABEL ONTO THE SHOEBOX AND THEM MAIL IT OUT. If you do this, they will 100% get upset and return your sneakers, and you will have lost money by damaging the box. In sneaker-culture, having a pristine box is often almost as important as having pristine sneakers. Imagine the box is like the exterior of a car. Sure the fact that the engine works is the most important part, but a messed-up exterior is going to kill resale value. ALWAYS package the item inside of a larger box.3. Use bubble wrap and/or shipping paper to make sure the box is secure and cushioned during transit. Like we said, the box is important, so make sure that it is secure.4. Properly tape the box shut with PACKING tape. Normal tape won’t be secure. Duct tape will work but will be kinda annoying for the buyer.5. Tape the shipping label to the outside of the shipping box.6. Drop it off at the shipping carrier or schedule a pickup.That’s it. You’re Done!

The BEST Place To sell Sneakers

So you just won your first drop on SNKRS or spotted a great flip opportunity at your local FootLocker. Congrats on the find…. But no matter how valuable that find is, they do no good collecting dust in your closet. You need to get these sold.Problem is: There’s too many places to sell. This is obviously a good problem to have…. But it’s still a problem. You have to decide where to list these sneakers for sale.Here is the KickFlips Comprehensive Rundown of each selling platform:

eBay:Pros: eBay is our go-to selling site/app. They typically charge less fees (7%, compared to StockX's 12.5%), the transaction is quicker, and there is a larger base of buyers than most other reselling apps and websites.Cons: Creating a selling account is more of a pain than with most other apps and websites, and there will often be fakes also for sale to compete with.Facebook & Craigslist:
We are lumping these together, because the pros and cons are basically the same.Pros: You don’t have to pay fees and you don’t have to ship the item. The sale can take place in a matter of minutes.Cons: You have to meet in person with valuable sneakers, so be careful. There is an element of danger.GOAT:Pros: More intuitive than eBay, cheaper shipping price than StockX.Cons: Only has sneakers – doesn’t have streetwear or other items. More expensive fees than eBay.Poshmark:**Pros:** Cheaper than StockX and GOAT. Easy selling process.Cons: Lots of fakes, and the platform is not geared specifically towards rare sneakers.StockX:**Pros:** More information/data than any other selling platform. Will occasionally run promotions/discounts on seller fees.**Cons:** More expensive fees than eBay and GOAT.

You don’t need accounts on all of these websites/apps. While we have accounts on most, we still do the majority of our selling on eBay, as it is simply the platform with which we are most familiar. However, if you are most comfortable with a different platform, we recommend you continue to use that one.That being said, you can list your sneakers on all of these platforms at the same time. You just have to make sure to remove the listings once your sneakers sell on one of those platforms. If they sell on eBay and you forget to remove the listing on StockX, you run the risk of them also selling on StockX. Too many cancelled sales can get your account suspended or banned.That’s all there is to it. Congrats on your first listing – here’s to many more!
